Overview
Atrium Health Steele Creek Emergency Department, located in Charlotte, NC, is Atrium Health’s first freestanding emergency department, approximately 15 to 20 minutes from Uptown and two miles from the North Carolina/South Carolina state line. We serve roughly 40,000 patients annually, including adults and children of all ages. Our team comprises skilled Nurses, Healthcare Techs, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists, and Providers such as Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.

Job Summary
The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, following facility policies, procedures, and protocols under supervision. The role involves maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring clinical and professional competency appropriate to the patient population.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Includes walking, standing, sitting, lifting (up to 35 pounds), reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must have good vision, hearing, smell, touch, finger dexterity, and critical thinking skills. Must respond quickly to patient and unit changes. Physical abilities testing is required.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Current BLS certification required. Valid RN license or temporary license in your state, or meet licensure requirements if in an NLC state. For non-NLC states, a current RN license or temporary license in the state of employment is required.
