LCH 5 Observation is a 16-bed unit with a mixed population of observation and short-stay inpatients, primarily surgical or procedural cases with stays of 48-72 hours. Patients include children post-appendectomy, cleft lip or palate repair, cardiac catheterization, and biopsies, as well as those requiring special testing like FPIES studies, fasting glucose testing, and water deprivation studies.
Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience; this position is not suitable for new graduates.

Physical Requirements

Education, Experience, and Certifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Current BLS certification required. Valid RN license or temporary license in the state of practice is mandatory, with additional requirements if in a NLC state.
