LCH 5 Observation is a 16-bed unit with a mixed population of observation and short-stay inpatients, primarily surgical or procedural cases with stays of 48-72 hours. Patients include children post-appendectomy, cleft lip or palate repair, cardiac catheterization, and biopsies, as well as those requiring special testing like FPIES studies, fasting glucose testing, and water deprivation studies.

Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience; this position is not suitable for new graduates.

Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, adhering to policies and protocols under supervision. The role involves maintaining a safe environment and ensuring professional competency.
