Job summary

McLeod Health in South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide skilled patient care in a busy clinical setting. You will monitor vital signs, administer vaccines, and support physicians, nurses, and other staff while maintaining a compassionate environment.

Expect responsibilities in triage, diagnostic testing, and efficient patient workflow, with emphasis on evidence-based practice and teamwork to improve outcomes and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• RN licensure and BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in all office medical equipment and supplies.
• Administers immunizations/injections per procedural checklists.
• Ensures examination rooms are clean and stocked, replacing expired supplies as needed.
• Calls patients from waiting area to a clean, stocked exam room with appropriate greeting.
• Records vital signs and documents chief complaint accurately.
• Triages and performs in-house diagnostic testing per orders.
• Manages patient workflow in the clinical area and supports staff as needed.
• Participates in problem solving and process improvement with clinical teams using evidence-based practices.

• Ensure that all examination rooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies, including replacing any expired supplies.
• Calls patients from the waiting area using appropriate title and last name to a clean, well-stocked examination room.
• Obtains and accurately documents vital signs and confirms chief complaint.
• Triages and performs in-house diagnostic testing according to orders.
• Manages patient workflow in the clinical area.
• Provides support and assistance as needed to patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff.
• Participates proactively in problem solving and process improvement activities through collaboration with clinical teams using Evidence Based Practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
