Job summary

Asante is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their Family Birth Center team in Medford, Oregon. You will deliver compassionate care to patients, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure high-quality nursing standards. Additional Position Details: Union position | FTE: 0.900000 | Full Time | Variable Schedule Nights

Salary: Wages are between $51.92 - $74.80 an hour. Increases are based on years of experience in the field. Plus, you will earn shift differentials for swing, night, and weekend hours:

  • $2.50 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • $10.00 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
  • $2.50 extra for working weekends

The Family Birth Center and Family Newborn department at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center is the regional referral center for high-risk patients spanning Northern California and Southern Oregon, with an average of 1,600 deliveries per year.

Our trustworthy care teams are a preferred choice for our patients and providers. Working towards a baby-friendly designation, our team of skilled clinicians strive to provide medical excellence. Including utilizing a family-centered model for drug exposed infants, the renowned “Eat, Sleep, Console” method.

In addition, our team also follows the gold standards for staffing perinatal units, set forth by the leading authority in perinatal nursing, the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). We also serve as the state’s first – and only - Emergency Department for OB patients, where our OB hospitalists are on call 24/7, allowing our skilled nursing staff to have continuous physician support.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate interdepartmentally to deliver excellent mother- baby patient care
  • Provide excellent nursing care to patients with various acuities
  • Demonstrate organizational skills in the delivery of nursing care to patients with flexibility and a willingness to adjust priorities in response to changes in patient acuity, volume, emergencies, staffing or scheduling

What You Must Have

Education

  • Completion of Antepartum training required upon start
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing,preferred

Experience

  • 1 year acute care experience,preferred
  • Acute care in OB or Mother-Baby experience,preferred
  • If less than 2 years nursing experience, IP or clinicals in women's or children's arepreferred
  • Charge Nurse experience,preferred

License/Certification

  • RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing required upon start date
  • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Program must be obtained within 4 months of start date
  • RNC-OB: Registered Nurse Certified - Inpatient Obstetrics Nurse,preferred
  • RNC-MNN: Registered Nurse Certified - Maternal Newborn Nurse,preferred
