Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered nursing care in a comprehensive acute-care hospital setting in New Britain, CT.

Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, you will develop and implement care plans, address physical, emotional and educational needs, and adapt care to the patient’s age group. CT RN licensure is required; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

  • RN with current Connecticut license required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Experience in applicable specialty preferred.
  • New graduates to work under supervision per State guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care under the Clinical Manager in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
  • Develops a plan of care incorporating standards of practice to meet physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of patients and families.
  • Considers patient age when planning and delivering care.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage and organize multiple clinical priorities and delegate to achieve patient outcomes.

The Registered Nurse (RN) who through knowledge and ability utilizes the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family. Incorporates the needs and behaviors of patient's age group in planning and providing care
