Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the ADSU per unit guidelines and 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Promote evidence-based practice and nursing excellence.
• Support rapid assessment and intervention for acutely ill patients and rapidly changing situations.

It is a 12-bed unit with private rooms incorporating aspects from our Intensive Care Unit that improve nursing satisfaction such as: ceiling lifts to assist with safe patient movement and supply carts in every room to streamline care. The unit will have substantial telemetry monitoring and a medication room to promote safe patient care.**About the Job:**The ASDU will care for patient ‘s with an acutely ill, moderately complex, medical, surgical, cardiac, trauma, and psychiatric diagnosis, requiring close nursing observation assessment, intervention, or monitoring. The standard nurse to patient ratio for the ADSU is 1:3.Nursing care is provided in accordance with the standards established by the American Nurses Association, and it is guided by a patient and family centered care delivery model of care.
