Elliot Health System invites you to join the Adult Stepdown Unit as a Registered Nurse on the night shift. The 12-bed unit leverages telemetry and ICU-inspired care, with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio and a strong patient-family centered care model.

Eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, plus tuition reimbursement and loan payoff opportunities. Night coverage requires weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia management preferred.
• Current NH, compact, or multi-state RN licensure.
• BLS qualification during orientation; ACLS preferred.
• Pursue professional certification within three years of specialty practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for acutely ill, moderately complex patients on the ASDU (1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio).
• Collaborate with patient/family to set goals and plans of care.

Registered Nurse- Adult Step Down Unit

Who We Are:

Elliot Health System is excited to share the opening of a new Adult Stepdown Unit (ASDU). It is a 12-bed unit with private rooms incorporating aspects from our Intensive Care Unit that improve nursing satisfaction such as: ceiling lifts to assist with safe patient movement and supply carts in every room to streamline care. The unit will have substantial telemetry monitoring and a medication room to promote safe patient care.

About the Job:

The ASDU will care for patient ‘s with an acutely ill, moderately complex, medical, surgical, cardiac, trauma, and psychiatric diagnosis, requiring close nursing observation assessment, intervention, or monitoring. The standard nurse to patient ratio for the ADSU is 1:3.

Nursing care is provided in accordance with the standards established by the American Nurses Association, and it is guided by a patient and family centered care delivery model of care. The American Association of Critical Care Nurses guide critical and progressive care nursing practices.

Admission to the Adult Stepdown Unit will be managed by either the Critical Care Medicine Service or the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Service.

Who You Are:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience. Telemetry with management of dysrhythmia preferred.
• Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate licensure as Registered Nurse required.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. ACLS preferred.
• Professional Certification: Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering the specialty practice.
• Software/ Hardware: Ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new systems or performs upgrades to existing systems
