Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse for the Cox North facility in Springfield, MO. Duties include intake interviews, patient assessment, and developing care plans within a 20-hour weekly schedule across day and evening shifts. You will work in a dynamic acute care environment with a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications include an accredited nursing program completion. BSN preferred and prior nursing experience is desirable.

Qualifications

Job Summary

The psychiatric unit nurse cares for patients with behavioral health illnesses in an acute care setting. The psychiatric unit nurse is responsible to conduct intake interviews, assess and evaluate the patient, establish a plan of care, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and may conduct therapeutic groups.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
