  • Providing direct care to patients dealing with illnesses, injuries, or surgeries.
  • Admitting and monitoring patients.
  • Administering medications.
  • Managing medical equipment.
  • Coordinating healthcare plans with medical professionals.
  • Educating patients on surgical procedures.
  • Conducting pre-op assessments.
  • Gathering medical information.
  • Reviewing patient history.
  • Performing a basic physical exam.
  • Ensuring that all the required procedures are followed prior to the surgery.

Qualifications
  • Must Have one year RN experience
  • Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
