Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for an Orthopedics unit. You will apply the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality while delivering care aligned with Mercy standards.

Full-time, 36 hours weekly, day shift 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. Experienced nurses may receive sign-on bonuses up to $20,000; new graduates up to $10,000, subject to licensure and onboarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with the listed credentials.
• Must hold a Missouri RN license or compact licensure.
• Hospital experience preferred, unit-dependent.

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
