Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Orthopedics. The role uses the nursing process to deliver compassionate patient care, ensuring safety, documentation, and coordination with other departments.

The schedule is full-time, 36 hours per week, with a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Qualified candidates will have an accredited nursing education (ADN, Diploma, or BSN) and hold a current RN license in Missouri or a compact state.

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
