Mercy Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedics unit in Missouri. The full-time role covers a 36-hour week with a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis.

The RN will utilize nursing processes, coordinate care across departments, and uphold patient rights while contributing to Mercy's mission and service standards. BLS required, BSN preferred, and prior hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in MO or compact licensure.
• Hospital nursing experience preferred; orthopedic setting helpful.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.

• New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience):Up to$10,000

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
