Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Telemetry unit. This is a full-time night-shift position, 7pm–7am with rotating weekends. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates.

You will educate patients and families, monitor vital signs, document care, and collaborate with the medical team to support safe, evidence-based treatment and discharge planning.

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse on the Medical Telemetry unit! This is a Full time, night shift position in Williamsburg, VA. Hours 7p to 7a with rotating weekends Sign On bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates!

In this role, you will educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health. You will monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in patient conditions, and respond promptly with appropriate interventions. Utilizing sound clinical judgment, you will address complex health situations, consult with medical team members as needed, and document all care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Education
  • Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
  • Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
  • Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.
Certification/Licensure
  • Registered nursing License (Required)
  • Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.
  • BLS required within 90 days of hire
Experience
  • None required 1 year of acute care (preferred)
  • Previous healthcare experience (preferred)

The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
