What You Will Do

• Conduct admission and ongoing assessments of patients using physical and psychosocial assessment skills, diagnostic data, and medical evaluations.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided in relation to short and long-term patient goals.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, anticipating and addressing patient needs.
• Execute nursing actions and medical orders to meet the complex needs of patients and their significant others, considering age-specific psychosocial and educational requirements.
• Document care provided and patient responses accurately in the patient's record.
• Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities, overseeing care provided by LPNs and non-licensed technical personnel, and demonstrate leadership through role modeling, communication, and problem-solving.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing.
• Current State of Michigan RN licensure.
• At least 12 months of nursing experience, including 3 months of experience providing nursing care to maintenance hemodialysis patients, prior to assuming charge responsibilities.
