GENERAL SUMMARY:


Sign-on bonus: Up to $7,500

Schedule: Days, Three 12 hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Rotating every other weekend and holiday


Unit Description:


Henry Ford River District Hospital's Acute Care Services Department is looking for you!We are a 10-bed, acuity adaptable, Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry unit in East China Township.We are a small, community-based hospital in St Clair County dedicated to the care of our peers.Our nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, and we have the support of a Patient Care Tech and Health Unit Coordinator daily.We welcome candidates with at least one year of prior critical care experience.Come join our team!



  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.

  • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.


CERTIFICATION/LICENSES REQUIRED:



  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • ACLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • TNCC certification required within 6 months of hire.

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • ACLS


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:



  • Emergency Department or Critical Care experience required for a minimum of one year.
