Job summary

Wood County Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Acute Care on a per diem basis. The role focuses on administering evidence-based patient care, coordinating with the care team, and educating patients and families from admission to discharge.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, maintain thorough documentation, and advocate for patient safety and outcomes in alignment with Ohio Board of Nursing scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Diploma in nursing or ADN from an accredited school.
• RN license in the State of Ohio by time of hire.
• BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• PALS within 90 days of hire (ED, PACU, Infusion).
• NRP within 90 days of hire (OB).
• BSN preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care provided to patients.
• Maintain accurate, timely, detailed reports and records.
• Individualize care based on patient values, preferences, and needs.
• Collaborate and advocate with other health care providers to provide best outcome for patients.
• Educate patient and family from admission to discharge considering patient and family comprehension and style of learning.
• Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
• Works hours per week as per offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
