Job summary
Summerlin Hospital, a 496-bed facility and part of The Valley Health System in Las Vegas, NV, seeks a compassionate registered nurse to provide safe, competent care in a busy environment. You will lead and support the healthcare team in a patient-centered culture.
Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of nursing, Nevada RN license, BLS, ACLS (adult), PALS (pediatric) or NRP (neonatal) as required by the department; BSN preferred; and successful completion of pre-employment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- One-year acute care experience or completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification (adult patients)
- Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy
- Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team
- Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision
- Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times
