UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7pm–7:30am night shift in Worcester, MA. The role requires utilization of the nursing process to deliver direct patient care, from admission to discharge, with a focus on individualized care planning and discharge coordination.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, delegating tasks as appropriate, and ensuring comprehensive patient assessments.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS certification required per RN position; ACLS and unit-specific certifications may be required.
• BSN is preferred for this role.

Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

Responsible for the planning, delivery and management of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice.

Major Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.

Position Qualifications

Required

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless advance cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Experience/Skills

Required

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
