Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC seeks a registered nurse for night shift (7:00PM-7:00AM) with every-other-weekend coverage. You will provide and document nursing care for telemetry and stroke patients, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure compliance with Primary Stroke Center standards.

Applicants must hold an SC RN license, ADN or equivalent, and obtain ACLS/NIHSS within 1 year. BLS certification is also required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in South Carolina.
• ADN degree or equivalent required for RN practice.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document professional nursing care for telemetry and stroke patients per plan of care and policies.
• Coordinate and delegate care with other professionals and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to educational hours requirements per NIAHO standards for Primary Stroke Center.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Director.

• Utilizing the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation and Evaluation) provides and documents professional nursing care to telemetry and stroke patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work.
• Coordinates and delegates the care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel. Communicates findings as indicated to appropriate person(s).
• Must adhere to (meet) the requirements for educational hours as outlined in the NIAHO standards for Primary Stroke Center.
• Performs any other job-related duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Director.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina. ADN degree. BLS certified. ACLS within 1 year. Basic and Advanced Arrhythmia within 1 year. NIHHS Certificate within 1 year.
