Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing practices based on the latest evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status, care, and treatment plans.
  • Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safety.
  • Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations electronically at the point of care.
  • Provide patient and family education to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary discharges to ensure safe patient transitions and continuity of care.
Qualifications
  • Valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
  • BSN in progress or willing to obtain within three years of hire.
  • At least six months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and demonstrate accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and patient-focused care.
  • BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
  • National certification in the specialty area preferred when eligible.
