Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care across critical care areas in Atlanta. The RN will coordinate care, educate families, and use the nursing process to plan and evaluate treatments, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Required: Georgia RN license, BLS, ACLS for various areas, and 1+ year of RN experience. A BSN is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth within Grady’s patient care teams.

Qualifications

  • RN license in Georgia or eligible to practice in Georgia.
  • ACLS certification required for specified areas; BLS required.
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience; new grads may apply to residency program.
  • Experience in acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive nursing care.
  • Coordinate care across settings and among caregivers.
  • Educate patients and families on health practices and treatments.
  • Utilize nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide and plan care (i.e. assessment, nurse diagnosis, planning and coordination, implementation, and evaluation). Additional roles include advocacy, performance improvement, leadership, problem solving, delegation, conflict resolution, and team player.QUALIFICATIONS• A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required• A Bachelors of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred• One (1) or more years’ experience as a Registered Nurse required• Specific area of specialty previous experience preferred• Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse required• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider card required• ACLS Certification required for all the following areas.
