Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an on-site Registered Nurse for 7 West, Transplant Surgery, per diem, in Worcester, MA. The role supports a 12-hour mixed shift schedule on a 7-day rotation with varied hours and potential signing bonus eligibility.

The position requires MA nursing licensure, BLS, and ideally a BSN. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, collaborate with the transplant team, and participate in care coordination from admission through discharge.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• BSN degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates plans of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care in the unit.
• Delegates tasks appropriately according to competency and job description.
