Registered Nurse- 6th Floor North Med/Surg ** Possible Sign On Bonus**

Join us as a Registered Nurse- 6th Floor North Med/Surg ** Possible Sign On Bonus** at Wheeling Hospital.

This position is responsible for delivering nursing care through the nursing process, using clinical knowledge, judgment, and accountability to achieve quality patient outcomes. It involves providing care to inpatient hospital patients, assessing and interpreting patient data, and applying growth and development principles.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses or appropriate state board, or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of nursing experience.

Core Duties include:

  • Modifying care plans based on patient data.
  • Using Evidence-Based Practice.
  • Delegating appropriately.
  • Verifying care plans with team, patient, and family.
  • Providing patient and family education.
  • Promoting effective communication.
  • Participating in policy development and quality improvement.
  • Engaging in professional development and ethical practice.

Physical and Environmental Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 pounds with proper equipment, work in various environments including biohazards and infectious disease areas, and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, and repositioning patients.

Work Schedule: 36 hours/week, various shifts, including potential for irregular hours and working around hazards.
