OPS RN Weekend Warrior program: Optional hourly rate of $34.67. Eligible shifts are Monday–Thursday 7 PM–7 AM and all shifts Friday–Sunday. Must work at least one shift per pay period. Not a full‑time position and does not include benefits.

Retirement and Insurance: Excellent retirement package and deferred compensation plan. Health, vision, dental, disability, and supplemental insurance available at reasonable premium rates. Paid vacation, sick leave, and nine paid holidays plus personal day. Tuition waiver available for state universities and community colleges (up to 6 credits per semester).

Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program:

  • Up to $4,000 per year, per nurse, for a maximum of four years, based on available funds
  • Payments made at the end of each 12‑month enrollment period directly to the lender
  • Enrollment and payment based on available funds

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Florida
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification

Position Description
  • Provide quality professional care to veteran residents in accordance with agency Standard Operating Procedures and the Nurse Practice Act
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of residents, administer medications and treatments per MD order, monitor and intervene as needed, and complete accurate clinical documentation
  • Supervise and guide the Senior Licensed Practical Nurse, Senior Certified Nursing Assistant, and other allied health professionals
  • Administer medications and perform treatments to assigned patients; complete required documentation and assist team members in patient care
  • Set nursing goals and prescribe appropriate interventions to meet physical, psychological, social, rehabilitative, and discharge planning needs; lead team conferences for individualized care plans
  • Assign nursing care to team members based on patient needs and staffing; coordinate with therapy and procedural departments; maintain communications and educate patients and family
  • Report observations and reactions to physicians, head nurse, charge nurse, supervisor, and appropriate family members; record observations accurately and concisely; assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of the Florida Nurse Practice Act
  • Maintain nursing care standards, implement facility policies, and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Ensure economic utilization of supplies and maintain equipment in a safe, clean manner; respond to emergencies such as cardiac arrest; participate in environment safety maintenance
  • Engage in continuing education and quality improvement programs
  • Perform other related duties, including special projects as assigned
