Nemours Children's Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for 3 West in Wilmington, DE. The 24-bed medical-surgical unit cares for patients 0–21 with orthopedic, rehab, neurology, and NICU transition cases.

The RN will implement the patient care delivery model, assess and plan care, and collaborate with families to support recovery. Full-time, rotating 12-hour shifts; 2/6 weekends and every other holiday.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred within 3 years of start.
• Delaware state license eligibility (or compact license).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Implement the patient care delivery model for the patient and their family.
• Assess, plan, provide and evaluate the care for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery.

Nemours is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, DE.

3 West is a 24-bed medical surgical unit for patients 0-21 years of age. This unit is designated for orthopedic patients, patients in need of comprehensive rehabilitation and acute rehabilitation of both traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, ventilator-dependent patients, and patients with tracheotomies. Additional patient populations include neurosurgical and nonsurgical neurology, and infants transitioning from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Neurology and neurosurgical patients are also cared for on 3 West. This unit was designed to provide single patient care rooms to allow for privacy and family presence during the hospital stay. Position is full-time, rotating shifts, 60 hrs in 2 wks, 12-hr shifts, 2/6 weekends, every other holiday. The primary role of the Registered Nurse is to implement the patient care delivery model for the patient and their family. Additionally the registered nurse is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, providing and evaluating, the care provided to assigned patients.

Additional Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN Preferred, obtained within 3 years of start required
• Inpatient Experience Preferred
• Must be eligible for Delaware State license (or compact license).
• BLS certification with the American Heart Association Required
