Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiology/Telemetry Unit. You will provide patient-centered care across a 36-hour schedule (6 West Telemetry, D/N, 12-hour shifts) and collaborate with a supportive nursing organization dedicated to equitable care.

Requirements include an ASN/BSN, MA RN license, BLS and ACLS, with PCC certification within 1 year. 1+ year of RN experience is preferred, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

  • Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred) with ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
  • Active RN license in Massachusetts.
  • BLS required; ACLS required; PCC certification within 1 year of hire.
  • 1+ year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit using patient-centered care.
  • Communicate with health care team, patients, and families.
  • Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
  • Update and manage patient records and care plans.
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
  • Follow BMCHS guidelines and policies.
  • Assist leadership with quality improvement projects.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
  • Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients

  • Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS
  • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • EDUCATION: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Certification in basic life support (BLS) required Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required 90 days of hire PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire
  • EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of RN experience preferred
  • KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Effective verbal and written communication skills Physical ability to meet job responsibilities Basic computer proficiency
COUNCOLATION and COMPENSATION

Compensation Range: $39.80- $93.69 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
