We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nurse to join our 30-bed unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, ensuring safety, accurate monitoring, and effective communication within a collaborative healthcare team. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with telemetry monitoring, and the ability to document thoroughly in Epic.
Full Time (3x12 hour shifts)
Night Shift (7p-7a)
Every other weekend obligation.
The Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nurse provides direct nursing care to adult patients with complex medical and surgical needs, including continuous cardiac monitoring via telemetry. This role involves comprehensive patient assessments, administration of medications and treatments, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The nurse is responsible for accurate and timely documentation in Epic, participation in bedside shift reporting, and patient/family education.
Associate degree required. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
