Job summary

Franciscan Health Dyer Campus, 24 Joliet St, Dyer, IN 46311, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide total comprehensive nursing and develop patient-specific care plans. You will perform psychosocial/physiologic assessments, reassess and educate patients and families, aligned with Franciscan Alliance standards.

The role is in an inpatient rehab unit with an average 5:1 patient ratio, requiring an Associate Degree (BSN desirable) and active RN license in the state.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited program is required, BSN desirable.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse with a valid license in the state (NLC).
• Willing to be flexible and dynamic in meeting patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide total comprehensive nursing to patients and families and develop a plan of care.
• Perform psychosocial/physiologic assessments and reassess, evaluate, and revise the plan.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing total comprehensive nursing to patients and their families through the development of a plan of care, including implementing, reassessing, evaluating and revising the plan of care. The RN develops these patient-specific plans by performing psychosocial/physiologic assessments, considering patients' cultural/ ethical/ spiritual needs, reviewing trends of similar patients, as well as considering physicians' orders regarding care. The RN integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care to include patient and family education, and actively supports and incorporates nursing regulations and standards, as well as Franciscan Alliance processes and procedures in daily practice.

• 14 bed Inpatient Rehab Unit fosters a strong team culture that treats the whole patient—physically and emotionally. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that helps each patient achieve their individualized goals and regain their independence.
