Location: Oak Park, Illinois

Business Unit: Rush Oak Park

Hospital: Rush Oak Park Hospital

Department: Emergency Department

**Work Type:** Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0)

**Shift:** Shift 3

**Work Schedule:** 12 Hr (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

**Pay Range:** $34.98 - $58.77 per hour

**Summary:**

The RN 2 is a competent nurse with mastered technical skills. The RN 2 identifies patterns in patient responses and uses past experiences to implement solutions. The RN 2 collaborates with the healthcare team when assistance is needed. Exemplifies Rush mission, vision, and values, acting in accordance with policies and procedures.

**Required Job Qualifications:**

  1. Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN).
  3. Within 1 year of hire, must be enrolled in a BSN program.
  4. RNs hired before 10/22/2020 are grandfathered with an ADN or diploma, no further degree requirement.
  5. Post-10/22/2020 hires with ADN require approval from the Chief Nursing Officer and continued enrollment in a BSN program, to be completed within 3 years.
  6. Proven proficient performance at RN1 level or equivalent before leveling to RN2.
  7. Current Illinois RN license.
  8. CPR certification.
  9. ACLS required within 3 months for ICU, Telemetry, Med/Surg, Endoscopy, PACU, IR, ED.
  10. PALS required within 3 months for PACU and ED.
  11. Proficiency in charge and preceptor roles.
