Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the 5South Acuity Adaptable Unit. The role emphasizes safe, individualized patient care, education, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a California RN license, ACLS certification, and a BSN or higher preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of acute RN experience. A specialty certification is preferred for RN III, with a possible opportunity to obtain it within the first year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current California State RN License required.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• For RN III: Specialty Certification preferred (external applicants may acquire within one year of hire).
• Minimum 3 years recent acute RN experience in specialty. Note: (minimum 1 year recent acute RN experience will be considered for Registered Nurse II).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care ensuring safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients in a timely manner.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures.
• Administer medications and therapeutic agents as part of the treatment plan.
• Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiation of peripheral venous access.
• Monitor and assess illness signs, reactions to treatments, and initiate emergency procedures when indicated.
• Plan and implement individualized patient care and coordinate with care teams across diverse populations.
