Job summary

Cheraw Healthcare is seeking a registered nurse for second (2:30p-11p), third (10:30p-7a), and night (6:30p-7a) shifts. You will supervise assignments, perform rounds, administer meds, document care, and coordinate with physicians to ensure residents' well-being.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing school and licensure by the SC Board of Nursing by examination or reciprocity. The role emphasizes patient care, accurate charting, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed by the South Carolina Board of Nursing by examination or reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Make daily assignment if in charge of the shift.
• Make rounds with outgoing nurse, receive reports on residents' condition as you do your walking rounds from room to room.
• Administer medications as scheduled on your shift.
• Do scheduled treatments.
• Daily and PRN documentation should be done.
• Do incident reports and behavior monitor logs as they occur.
• Notify MD for any changes on residents' status or any abnormal labs; receives and transcribes physician's orders.
• Requests lab work, schedule X-rays, Dr's appointments, etc per Dr's orders.
• Notify responsible party for any incident, change in condition, or scheduled appointments of residents.
• Make transportation arrangements for residents as needed.
• 11PM - 7AM shift is responsible for charting vital signs, check and have MARs and treatment books ready for the next month as soon as pharmacist sends them, fax orders to pharmacy on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday.
• On Sundays, 11-7 shift is responsible for defrosting and cleaning refrigerators and med carts, make copies of daily worksheet and midnight census and distribute to designated offices.
