Job description

RN for our Macomb home hospice team, seeing patients throughout Macomb County and Detroit. Full-Time, Days.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides nursing care to hospice patients in accordance with the hospice concept of care. Assumes managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Hospice manager. Works under the supervision of the Hospice manager. Complies with IRS mileage reimbursement rates.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, and current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Hospice certification preferred.
  • A working knowledge of current pain and symptom management, and experience appropriate to the needs of hospice patients and their families is preferred.
  • Requires interpersonal skills to present a positive image of Hospice to referrals.
  • Requires flexibility to adapt policies and procedures to meet patient and family needs.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
