Job description

RN for our Macomb home hospice team, seeing patients throughout Macomb County and Detroit. Full-Time, Days.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides nursing care to hospice patients in accordance with the hospice concept of care. Assumes managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Hospice manager. Works under the supervision of the Hospice manager. Compensation is in accordance with the IRS Mileage Reimbursement rate.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, and current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Hospice certification preferred.
• Knowledge of current pain and symptom management, with experience appropriate to hospice patient needs preferred.
• Requires interpersonal skills to present a positive image of Hospice to referrals.
• Ability to be flexible in adapting policies and procedures to meet patient and family needs.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation required.
