ELMHS in Jackson, LA, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive direct patient care, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, and maintain a safe therapeutic environment in a psychiatric setting.
The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, respond to emergencies, monitor patient safety, and ensure infection control compliance while documenting all aspects of patient care accurately.
Division: Within the Nursing and/or the SFF Departments at ELMHS, Located in Jackson, LA
The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric care are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana.
ELMHS is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the Nursing Department as a Registered Nurse. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive direct patient care by developing and implementing nursing care plans, administering medications, assisting with examinations, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, ensuring medication and infection control compliance, responding to emergencies, monitoring patient safety, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and accurately documenting and communicating all aspects of patient care.
Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse.
