The New York State Department of Health seeks a Registered Nurse 1 to coordinate, direct and provide professional nursing care to residents of the Veterans Home at Montrose under the supervision of the Nurse Administrator.
Candidates must hold a current NYS RN license and registration; preferred experience in long-term care and geriatric populations. All shifts available with comprehensive benefits and state employment protections.

Candidates must possess a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
Reassignment: Current New York State Department of Health Veterans Home at Montrose employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18.
Transfer: Current New York State employee with one or more years of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55 b/c service in a position eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, to a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate would have experience in a Long-Term Care setting with a geriatric population.
