The Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility is seeking a Registered Nurse 1 to provide professional nursing care and treatment. You will evaluate health needs of juveniles, demonstrate advanced first aid knowledge, and ensure policies for medical and psychiatric care are followed.
Requirements include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, active Michigan RN license, and BLS/CPR certification; prior experience in medical/surgical, corrections, or behavioral health is preferred.

Registered Nurse 1 give professional nursing care and treatment in the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility. Registered Nurses evaluate health needs of juveniles and refer, as indicated by policy and procedure, to the appropriate health provider, demonstrate knowledge in advanced first aid and emergency care, and have knowledge in all policies and procedures pertaining to Medical and Psychiatric treatment of juveniles detained in the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility. Registered Nurses monitor and maintain the medical and mental health treatment of juveniles, maintain supplies and equipment and ensure the juveniles are in a clean and safe environment and perform other related duties as assigned. General assignments are received from Charge Nurse or Nursing Administrator. Registered Nurses may supervise the work of Licensed Practical Nurses or other auxiliary nursing service personnel.
Salary: $94718.00 - $94718.00 per year
