Job summary

Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, Illinois, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. The role requires full-time night shifts (6pm-6:30am), on-call, and weekend/holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include administering IVs, medications, and treatments; responding to emergencies; and ensuring readiness of the unit. Illinois RN license, CPR, ACLS/PALS per hire timelines are required.

Qualifications

• Must have current hospital experience (within 5 years), or be a new nursing graduate (within 2 years).
• Must be able to think clearly during emergencies and work in stressful situations.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience in hospital clinical nursing.
• State of Illinois RN license that’s active and in good standing.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work in our Progressive Care Unit.

Status: Full Time, Nights

Schedule: 6pm-6:30am

Summary/Objective

Utilizes the nursing process to provide care to patients of all age groups (infancy through geriatrics), and with all types & degrees of severity of illness or injury. Practices in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act, and hospital & department policies, procedures & standards. Participates in performance improvement efforts. Maintains a clean, well organized department in a constant state of readiness with adequate supplies, equipment checks & housekeeping tasks. Maintains competence through required in‑services & other continuing education. Requires on call, weekend & holiday rotation and the flexibility to work all shifts when needed.
