Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Observation Care Unit

Location: Everett, Washington, United States

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Shifts Available: 12-Hour Day or Night Shifts

Compensation: $80000 to $148,000 annually (plus potential bonuses, shift differentials, and relocation assistance)

Overview

Join a leading healthcare organization with a century-long legacy of caring for the vulnerable and underserved. Our hospital network spans 50+ hospitals and 1,000+ clinics across 7 states, and we're seeking compassionate, skilled RNs to join our Observation Care Unit in Everett.

This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, short-stay acute care setting. The nurse will manage patients who require close monitoring before being discharged or admitted to inpatient services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress in an Observation Unit setting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Document patient care accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately.
  • Educate patients and families on discharge planning and health maintenance.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Washington State RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • National Certification in the area of specialty (e.g., CMSRN, PCCN).
  • Experience in Observation, ED Holding, Step-Down, or Telemetry Units.
  • Proficiency with EPIC or other EHR systems.
