Job summary

Argon Agency is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality medical and psychiatric care at our mental health and substance abuse treatment facility in Ohio. You will monitor client health, administer medications, and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a safe recovery environment.

Responsibilities include health assessments, medication administration, crisis intervention, and maintaining confidential records while adhering to regulations.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid RN license in Ohio is required.
  • Associate or BSN degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Experience in mental health, substance abuse, or behavioral health settings preferred.
  • Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and medication management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.

  • Provide direct nursing care, including health assessments, medication administration, and monitoring of client conditions.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing medical assessments to identify health concerns and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Monitor withdrawal symptoms and provide interventions for clients in detoxification programs (if applicable).
  • Educate clients and families about medications, treatment plans, and overall health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies, providing appropriate care and intervention.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Ensure infection control procedures and facility safety standards are followed.
  • Support a trauma-informed, patient-centered approach to care.
