Qualifications

• Active RN license in the United States.
• ACLS within three months of hire.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• EKG course or documented competency within three months of hire.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum four years of critical care nursing; cath lab/special procedures experience desirable.

Required qualifications/skills:

• Current Louisiana RN license
• AHA BLS; ACLS within three months of hire
• EKG course or documented competency within three months of hire
• CPR required
• Four years of critical care nursing preferred; prior Cath Lab/special procedures experience desirable

A Typical Shift

Your day in the cath lab starts with a quick huddle to align on the schedule and patient needs. You’ll welcome patients, explain what to expect, and reinforce pt education for recovery and follow-up. Throughout the shift you’ll stay attentive to rhythm changes and collaborate closely with physicians and teammates as cases progress. Between procedures, you’ll reset the room, review documentation, and coordinate next steps - whether that includes echo results, discharge teaching, or handoff communication - so every patient experience feels informed, safe, and supported.
