Job summary

Summit Health and Living is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our long-term care team in Summitville, Indiana. You will lead the nursing shift, provide direct patient care, and coordinate with physicians, families, and staff to deliver quality care.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, wound care, and ensuring compliant care plans. PTO, benefits, and a supportive leadership team accompany this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and respond promptly.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and skilled procedures.
• Supervise and delegate to LPNs and CNAs on your shift.
• Communicate with residents, families, and attending physicians.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in care planning, MDS, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility standards.
