Job summary

Advanced Recovery Systems (ARS) in Georgia seeks a Registered Nurse to support detox and addiction treatment across ARS facilities. You will document care, administer medications, and collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Georgia license, and pass a Level 2 background check; a BSN and behavioral health experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Licensed to practice in the State of Georgia
• Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Check
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum two years' RN experience preferred
• Behavioral health experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program; Maintains medical records.
• Administer medications as indicated and monitor detoxification process.
• Transcribe physician orders and implement Medical Protocols as ordered.
• Confer with and assist medical personnel, internal and external resources.
• Provide documentation reflecting services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
• Assess medical and psychiatric needs, determine urgency, and expedite treatment as required.
• Communicate concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follow up.
• Educate patients about medications, health issues, and medical conditions.
• Take verbal orders from medical provider and carry them out accurately.
• Provide routine nursing care under supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Recovery Village South Atlanta (RVSA) provides a complete continuum of care for patients on their recovery journey. As a 55-bed professional addiction treatment facility, RVSA offers medical detox, inpatient treatment, outpatient care, and aftercare, ensuring comprehensive and effective support. The Registered Nurse performs a wide variety of duties during a shift, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this position. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:

Job Duties:

• Ability to complete appropriate documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program. Maintains medical records.
• Ability to administer medications as indicated and monitor detoxification process.
• Ability to transcribe Physician orders and implement all Medical Protocols as ordered.
• Ability to confer with and assist medical personnel, both internal and external resources.
• Ability to provide documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
• Ability to assess the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient, determine the urgency of their needs, and expedite treatment as required.
• Ability to effectively communicate concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follow up as necessary.
• Ability to educate patients about medications, health issues, and medical conditions.
• Demonstrates ability to take verbal orders from the medical provider, document them in the patient record, and carry them out accurately and professionally.
• Demonstrates ability to provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed to practice in the State of Georgia required.
• Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years' experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
