Job summary

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia (CCP) is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse to support the CCP Now outpatient program, delivering patient-centered cardiac care in a fast-paced clinic environment. You will assist with diagnostics and coordinate care to ensure smooth patient flow.

The RN will perform EKGs and telemetry, take vitals and mediate tests, administer medications and IVs, and document in the EMR while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold current PA RN license with no encumbrances.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Cardiology.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and perform cardiac diagnostic testing (EKGs, telemetry, blood work, imaging).
• Patient intake, vitals, medical history, consent and education.
• Monitor patients during testing and respond to emergencies.
• Administer medications and IVs for procedures; interpret rhythms and triage.
• Educate patients and families; communicate results and next steps.
• Document all patient interactions in the EMR and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with clinical coordination and respond to patient inquiries.
• Support across clinical areas and participate in process improvements.

CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 30 locations throughout the Philadelphia region. We are currently hiring for a Part Time Registered Nurse.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will support the CCP Now program by providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role focuses on the evaluation and treatment of patients with non-life-threatening cardiac symptoms, while assisting with diagnostic testing and ensuring a safe and efficient clinical experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with and perform cardiac diagnostic testing, including:
• EKGs
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Blood work and advanced imaging as appropriate
• Perform patient intake, including vital signs, medical history, consent, and patient education
• Monitor patients throughout testing and respond appropriately to any emergent situations
• Administer medications and IVs for diagnostic procedures Interpret EKG rhythms and recognize arrhythmias Evaluate and triage patients, including walk-ins requiring urgent attention
• Provide clear patient and family education regarding treatment plans and follow-up care Communicate test results and next steps per provider direction
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
• Assist with clinical coordination, including triaging calls and responding to patient inquiries
• Provide support across clinical areas and assist providers and staff as needed
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must have a current RN license, ACLS, and CPR, BSN required

• Current, unrestricted PA Registered Nurse (RN) license.

BLS and ACLS required

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.

Must have 2 years of experience as an RN in Cardiology

• Must have the ability to multitask
• Computer knowledge is a must
• Experience with an EMR system is a plus
