El Paso Center for Gastro & Endo in El Paso, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse GI to support endoscopy services. The RN will plan, execute, direct and evaluate nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases.

Requires TX RN license, BLS/ACLS, endoscopy experience, and bilingual Spanish preferred. Weekdays only with no holidays or weekends; some early mornings and late evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must hold TX state nursing license.
• BLS and ACLS required (ACLS current or within 6 months).
• CGRN board eligible/certified preferred.
• One year endoscopy/ambulatory experience.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties per Nursing Practice Act and facility policies.
• Demonstrate nursing theory, techniques, and practice to care for patients.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes to ensure comfort and safety.
• Assist physicians and healthcare professionals, providing full patient status reports.
• Communicate with staff, patients, and families with clear written and verbal skills.
• Pursue ongoing education to broaden knowledge across ages and conditions.
• Collaborate with Infection Control to prevent infections.
• Support continuous quality and service improvement.

We have 1 OR room and 3 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

he Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, executing, directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care given to endoscopy patient. The nursing care ranges from preoperative intervention, intraoperative and postoperative evaluation while meeting the patient’s needs and ensuring continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform all nursing duties in accordance with the state Nursing Practice Act, while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
• Actively demonstrate a working knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, principles, and practice in order to care for the patient.
• Perform routine nursing care while utilizing age specific and universal precaution practices at all times Monitor patient progress and identifies any changes in status, acting on those changes to insure patient comfort and safety.
• Assist physicians and all healthcare professionals caring for patient, always giving a complete and thorough report on patient status throughout procedure process.
• Communicate with all staff, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Consistently seek educational tools in order to broaden knowledge base of various age groups, diseases, and best practices.
• Collaborates with the Infection Control Committee in preventing and identifying potential for infections.
• Supports and demonstrates continuous improvement of quality and service excellence.
• May perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Must have currently TX state license
• BLS, ACLS required (must have current ACLS or achieve within 6 months of hire).
• CGRN board eligible/certified preferred.
• One-year endoscopy/ambulatory experience
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
