Job summary

VTP Holdings is seeking a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant with strong USGIV placement experience to support hospitals and care facilities across the Western/Southern United States. PICC certification training is provided for qualified RNs with recent USGIV placement history.

Per Diem or Full-Time opportunities are available. You''ll work with clinical teams to resolve venous access issues across varied settings, with a focus on quality care and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current, active license.
  • Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs).
  • Experience in vascular access device management including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • American Heart BLS Certification.
  • Valid driver''s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and meet scheduling requirements.
  • Must possess a smartphone.

Responsibilities

  • Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance.
  • Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation.
  • Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices.
  • Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting.
  • Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and CVADs.

VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers.

Job Description

Schedule: 12PM–12AM shifts | Includes weekend and holiday rotation

Job Type: Full-Time Mobile, or Per Diem Mobile (experienced PICC RNs only)

Bonus: Full-Time employees are eligible for up to $10,000 sign-on/commitment bonus, based on prior vascular access experience

This is a PICC RN position. We provide paid PICC certification training to qualifying RNs with strong, recent USGIV placement experience — no prior PICC experience required to apply.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience
  • Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound
  • Prior vascular access or PICC experience
Who We Are Looking For

We're seeking RNs with strong, recent USGIV placement experience for full-time Vascular Access Nurse Consultant roles. USGIV experience is required. PICC certification training is provided for qualifying candidates with consistent, recent USGIV placement history. Experienced PICC nurses are welcome to apply for Per Diem or Full-Time positions.

As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you'll work collaboratively with our customers' clinical teams to resolve venous access issues and support treatment objectives set by the treating physician. Depending on the referral, you may work inside or outside the hospital setting — giving you a unique opportunity to see different treatment protocols and patient challenges across care settings.

If you're looking for a change from 12-hour shifts on your feet or rushing between patients with no time for quality care, this role offers a different pace and focus.

What You'll Do
  • Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance
  • Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation
  • Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices
  • Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting
  • Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other CVADs
Schedule
  • Full-time: 36–48 hours/week across 3–4 shifts per week, including weekend and holiday rotation (specific days assigned based on business needs)
    • Currently hiring for a 12PM–12AM schedule
  • Per Diem: Minimum of 32 hours/month across 4 shifts, with availability to pick up additional shifts as needed. Per Diem opportunities are available for experienced PICC Nurses only and potential participation inweekend and holiday rotation.
    • Currently hiring for a range of schedules.
  • Consultants travel to customer facilities as assigned; scheduling requirements vary by job classification
  • Health & Wellness: Medical, vision, and dental benefits begin the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.
  • 401(k): Eligible to contribute to the Company's 401(k) plan.
  • Company Vehicle: A Company vehicle is provided for work-related travel when available; if unavailable, personal vehicle use is reimbursed at the standard IRS mileage rate.
  • Gas Card: Provided for fuel expenses when using a Company vehicle.
  • Technology Reimbursement: $15 per pay period for work-related use of personal technology devices.
  • Paid Time Off & Sick Leave: Provided in accordance with Company policy.

Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.

Hourly Pay Range

$60 - $75 USD
