Job summary

Brown University is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join Health Services. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse student population, administer medications and injections, and perform ancillary testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Rhode Island RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• 3-5 years of acute care nursing experience required, with a mix of ambulatory, emergency room and community health preferred.
• College health / adolescent health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the health care team atHealth Services that serves the diverse student population atBrown. The RN provides nursing care to students, administersmedications and injections, performs ancillary testing and nursingprocedures as indicated and provides patient education. TheRegistered Nurse is also responsible for providing triage topatients who present or call Health Services for assessment,treatment and/or advice.

This posting is for a per diem position, 1 shift a week or 4 shiftsa month. Availability to work weekends and evenings isrequired.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degreepreferred.
