Overview

The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the Health Services team at Brown University, providing care to the diverse student population.

Duties

• Provide nursing care to students.
• Administer medications and injections.
• Perform ancillary testing and nursing procedures as indicated.
• Provide patient education.
• Provide triage to patients presenting in person or calling Health Services for assessment, treatment, and/or advice.

Employment Details

Per diem position: one shift a week or four shifts a month. Availability to work weekends and evenings is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Rhode Island RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• 3-5 years of acute care nursing experience required, with a mix of ambulatory, emergency room, and community health preferred.
• College health / adolescent health experience preferred.
