Job summary

SunCloud Health in Illinois is seeking compassionate registered nurses for day and night shifts (full time, part time, and PRN). The role focuses on psychiatric and general mental health care, collaborating with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, patient-centered treatment.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, documenting care, upholding HIPAA and SUPR (DASA) requirements, and training junior staff.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
• Experience in Mental Health, Eating Disorder and/or Substance use preferred.
• Proficiency in applying compliance standards, procedures and techniques.
• Understand and remain compliant with HIPAA regulations and SUPR (DASA) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' medical and psychiatric condition and assess their needs.
• Observe and interpret patients' symptoms and communicate with MD/NP.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans.
• Provide housekeeping and hygiene to maintain safety and cleanliness of facilities.
• Document care and administer treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Supervise and/or train LPNs, PCTs or CNAs as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and communicate effectively.

Day and Night Shift Available - Full time, part time, and PRN!

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Monitor patient’s medical and psychiatric condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care
• Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate with MD/NP
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
• Communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and function calmly in situations, which require a high degree of sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
• Perform routine procedures (vital signs, accu checks, assess pain, administering injections etc.) and document in patients’ charts
• Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
• Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, PPE etc.)
• Provide prompt, efficient, and responsive service.
• Understand and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information. · Implementing evidence-based practices
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Supervise and/or train LPNs, PCTs or CNAs
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Registered License in Illinois
• Experience in Mental Health, Eating Disorder and/or Substance use preferred
• Proficiency in applying compliance standards, procedures and techniques is required with patient care.
• Understand and remain compliant with HIPAA regulations
• Understand and abide by SUPR (DASA) requirements as it relates to patient care regarding substance use
• Strong professional attitude and ability to work with and communicate effectively with all staff.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Professional nursing principles, procedures, and techniques used in the care and treatment of psychiatric patients.
