Job summary

Frantz EyeCare in Naples, FL is seeking an RN to provide specialized nursing care in our ambulatory surgery center. The role emphasizes preoperative assessment, PACU care, and collaborative teamwork with physicians.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida RN license with BCLS current; ACLS is preferred. The position offers full-time or part-time hours and benefits including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a college/university or accredited nursing program.
• Current Florida RN license to practice is required; BCLS current.
• ACLS preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care in ambulatory surgery center per orders and standards.
• Take medical history from patients by phone prior to surgery.
• Work Preop and PACU; OR Circulating a plus; perform other duties as needed.

Job description

Provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients in the ambulatory surgery center in accordance with physician's orders, recognized nursing standards, legal aspects of current nurse practice within the state and the Center's policies and procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff exhibiting teamwork characteristics. Demonstrates initiative, insight and judgement in decision making process. Areas to work include taking medical history prior to surgery over the phone and working Preop and PACU department, OR Circulating a plus, and any other position needed.

Position Requirements

Qualifications: Must be a graduate of a college or university and /or accredited school of nursing. Must hold a current license from the Florida State Board of Nursing to practice as a registered nurse; Current BCLS is mandatory. ACLS is preferred.
