Job summary

Cfg Health System LLC is seeking registered nurses to provide direct nursing care to inmate patients within correctional facilities in New Jersey.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain documentation, while adhering to HIPAA, PREA, infection control, and safety policies. Shift differential available; on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Clinical experience as an RN; correctional healthcare experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; on-call may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care to inmate patients per protocols.
• Perform assessments in intake, health care units, emergency, and chronic care settings.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor reactions, document status changes, and provide patient education.
• Maintain infection control practices and accurate documentation.

PRN: 6 am-2 pm, 2 pm-10 pm (shift differential $5.00), 10 pm-6 am (shift differential $4.50)Position SummaryRegistered Nurses (RNs) provide direct nursing care to inmate patients, applying the nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation—in accordance with professional nursing standards. RNs collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care and desired health outcomes.Correctional nurses deliver care to promote and improve overall health, often managing a patient population that has had limited access to healthcare prior to incarceration.
